Events Expert: Alli Price

Have you ever been at home with children, feeling stuck and isolated, and wondered how you’re ever going to get out of that rut?

Do you wish you could be in business for yourself and have control over yours and your family’s future?

As a businesswoman and mum, Alli Price felt much the same as you do.  She was in a new country with a new baby and a coaching business that was on the back burner, feeling alone and bored.

But Alli’s real  business story starts with her idea to organise a lunch so that other parents who felt stuck – both personally and professionally – could meet and share ideas.

These days, Alli is back living in her home town of Melbourne, Australia.  She isn’t alone or isolated any longer … she’s running events for parents, mothers, mumpreneurs and working mothers.  Her dream of providing small business support for mums both personally and professionally has taken off.  And whoever you are, you’re welcome to come along!

You don’t have to have a power suit or a briefcase – or even an established business.  All you need is an urge to reach out.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve got the germ of an idea, or if you’re managing a huge cashflow and a cast of thousands.  Have a look at www.motivatingmum.com.au to get an idea of the scope of what’s available to you.  You can make contact with other mumpreneurs without even having to leave your house.  There are articles, introductions, tips, ideas, and a newsletter you can subscribe to as well as a forum.

Next, why not come to have a glass of bubbles and listen to a speaker at ‘Champagne and Sparkling Conversation’.  If you’re better at small groups of people come to ‘Brainstorm in a Teacup’ which is where Alli  brings six mumpreneurs together.  Over coffee there’ll be a great conversation about peoples ideas, and how the others can help or advise.  Or if you’re horrendously strapped for time, you can come to ’60 Minute Snippet’ which is an hours workshop for mumpreneurs needing information on everything to do with starting a business.  Business networking was never as much fun as this!

Alli has used her coaching, organisational and business skills to set up a network of women who provide support, a forum and an audience for your ideas.  If you’re unsure where to start, you can get in touch with Alli and she’ll help you decide which event is most suited to you.  That’s what she does best – small business support.  Once you’re up and running you can come to Businessmums’ Club.  Just like the Old Boys Club, but without the boring suits and … well, boring old boys! This happens once a month and is a more in-depth and ongoing source of support, just for you.

Alli also likes to get involved with charity and fundraising events, so you might see motivatingmum.com.au’s logo in a variety of places.  You can find out more on the website.

There is no reason for you to wait – thanks to Alli, all the support and friendship you need is ready and waiting.

All that’s needed is you!
